OUTDOOR RENOVATING

We have officially decided to renovate our backyard and with that decision made it was only a matter of hours until I had spent thousands...gosh I am clever. After the $10,000 quote we recieved I figured (with a little encouragement from mum) that doing it ourselves meant we were actually saving money. Ha. We are pulling up the pavers and laying new ones, fencing up a compost and vege patch, making a privacy screen, getting outdoor furniture, pots, lemon tree and a daybed (with the possiblity of a fire pit) and bistro setting, cleaning all the gutters and putting in gutter gaurd, AND painting the garage and fence. phew...

I have also fixed all the dripper system so our garden should be taking off very soon.

On top of all the renovating we (I) have been in a little bad luck patch lately as I hit a kangaroo the other week and dropped my iPhone into the toilet so that is why things have been a little chaotic as of late.
BEFORE/DURING REMOVAL

AFTER REMOVAL
( After much deliberation I decided on two lovely colours of steel mesh (a little bit lavender) and Igloo Blue. They go well with our sandstone coloured pavers so fingers crossed it all comes together. Ryan has been making some jokes about this "lavender" paint but is graciously going along with it, with the expectation it will all look lovely...

AFTER REMOVAL BUT BEFORE SAND

Parker loves helping outside!

A healthy obssession with cords...

Yummy gluten and dairy free choc-chip pancakes that I made...quite good actually!

Parkers new outdoor cubby, he is just trying to figure out how to climb up the slide.

We have also found a great place at the Fresh Food Markets The giant Mushroom.
Parker thinks it is great fun to go down the slippery-dips front first and climb back up...

And I will post some more photos very soon as we have found our camera...it went missing and turned up in somebody's toy box...

Love to you all and a very special congrats to James, Annaliese and Ben on welcoming there new little boy Matthew into the world. So exciting!!!!
xx
